UNITED METHODIST MEN CHARTER PROCEDURES


The Book of Discipline says that every local church shall have a chartered United Methodist Men's Fellowship. The charter shall be re-certified every year. The process for re-certifying the charter begins November 1 each year for the next calendar year.

The General Commission of United Methodist Men office in Nashville, TN and your Florida Conference United Methodist Men are funded ONLY by support from local church United Methodist Men's Fellowships. Your United Methodist Men's Fellowship Annual Dues Payment contribute this financial support at the time of chartering or re-certifying each year.
Your contribution should be in the form of TWO SEPARATE CHECKS - One made to General Commission United Methodist Men and one made to the Florida Conference United Methodist Men. Both checks should be mailed with the application to the Florida Conference United Methodist Men office.
Chartering and Annual Dues Payment vary according to the size of your local church congregation as reported in the Florida Conference Journal. The guidelines for Annual Dues Payment are as follows: 
NATIONAL UNITED METHODIST MEN - $85.00 (as requested by their office)
FLORIDA CONFERENCE UNITED METHODIST MEN: Congregations under 100 members - $25.00, Congregations 101-299 members - $35.00, Congregations 300-699 members - $40.00, Congregations 700-999 members - $50.00, Congregations over 1000 members - $100.00.

The procedures for initial chartering and Annual Dues Payment are as follows:


1. Complete the entire Charter/Re-certification application.
2. Make out TWO SEPARATE CHECKS (see guidelines above).
3. Mail application and both checks to the address below.
